Delbert "Sleepy" Read Artist

'Sleepy'  Read at work

'Sleepy' is a Johnson County, Texas artist near 90 who still paints six days a week. He is mainly self-taught but still occasionally takes classes to improve his technique. He has a small gallery located in Cleburne, Texas at the Wright Place located at 115 South Main.  "Sleepy" especially likes abstracts but also does bluebonnets, landscapes, westerns etc. He has painted murals in several school cafeterias. He can be found painting in the gallery most every day except Saturdays. I will be posting some of “Sleepy’s” original oil paintings on our web page. They are “one of a kind” pictures that will be a great addition to your art collection. When asked why his work was selling so well now he replied, “They think my work will become more valuable after I’m gone”, he laughed. To see his work go to our web at http://www.texasartmart.com/.  Watch for more to be added each week.

"Roughneck Country" is the new G. Harvey Release!

 G. Harvey is considered the consummate painter of the West and its most famous icon, the American cowboy. This outstanding image of life in the oil fields at the turn of the century is one of the artist's most popular subjects. With an ever-changing environment in the fields of "black gold," the hard-working men knew well to be prepared for any kind of weather. These cowboys are outfitted to withstand the rain that's headed their way. This edition of 250 Giclees was sold out as soon as it was released however I can get you one in the secondary market if you are interested. The retail price is $1200.00 and the Giclee Artist Proof of 50 copies retails for $1500.00. It will cost a little more in the secondary market. For you G. Harvey collectors this giclee on canvas can only increase in value. Order yours today at http://www.texasartmart.com/.
